Valentine’s Day Recipe

Can you believe it is February already?

We can and then can’t at the same time. January was a very difficult month and start of the New Year for us. Sickness saw us into the New Year, followed by the loss of an integral farm member, and we finished the month by receiving a devastating diagnosis.

It has been a real doozie. We are so thankful for our family and friends right now. Their physical support in bringing us groceries, helping meal prep, watch clancy or dig a grave has been crucial. Love, light, and hugs have been sent to us and we feel it. We also feel the support and power from prays made for our family too.

We have an incredible community, thank you all!

It is with great pain, sorrow, and a heavy but incredibly full and appreciative heart that I share Rusty has been diagnosed with cancer. He has lymphoma concentrated around his spleen and intestines. It is extremely rare for such a young dog.

Rusty has lost weight and is tired but his spirits are high and his heart is devoted to us and Clancy as always.

We have been able to work with a local oncologist. Cancer in dogs is bleak: no cure. Thankfully Rusty is now comfortable; his energy is improved and his appetite strong with the medications we are able to leverage.

Our 27-month-old bernedoodle will be leaving us far too soon but we are thankful for his comfort and the extra time this medication is allowing us to have with our best pooch ever.

Please pray for Rusty’s healing, comfort, strength, and our hearts as we soak up every moment with Rusty Buckets.
